a revamped version of an older Scout/Sparkle picture. i started this for a gallery exhibition but never finished it and went with the original version of the piece, but i recently decided to finish this one up.

some possible outfits for SHADOWEYES 3! i like to make up outfits ahead of time so when it comes time to draw, i'm not waffling around trying to come up with something on the fly, which really slows me down. i usually don't use every outfit in a book, sometimes they spill over into the next book, or don't get used at all, or get combined. here are Kyisha, Noah, and Sparkle (characters not really to scale!), click to see it big:

SLG small business grant!!

help Shadoweyes publisher SLG get a small business grant through Chase Bank and LivingSocial's Mission: Small Business program!!! more info here at Robot 6, including some words from publisher Dan Vado and some insight on what it's like in small-run indie comics.

all you gotta do is go here to the Mission: Small Business site, and if you have a Facebook account you can log in and search for a business to support, where you put California, San Jose as the state and city, 95113 in the zip code field and "SLG" in the business field and it'll let you vote!!

Comic Creators For Freedom fund drive now active!

i mentioned last post that i'm taking part in Comic Creators For Freedom's anti-human-trafficking fundraiser, and the fund drive is happening now! it starts today and lasts until January 20th.

head here and hit the donate button, donations are split between Love146 and Gracehaven, on the righthand sidebar, after which you can download the huge wallpaper featuring Shadoweyes and a ton of other female webcomic characters.
