some people thought Kyisha is transgender, but she isn't, she's intersex (though some intersex people are trans like anybody else, it's not mutually exclusive).
the nickname Hoots is because people think she looks like an owl. i thought she'd go along with it and wear her hair like the great horned owl or long-eared owl.
