i'm not sure the gutters here were quite as successful in showing time passing as they were in the previous montage page but what can you do!

this is the first appearance of Scout's goggles, which protect her eyes and let her see in the sunlight. later in the comic she briefly mentions where she got them, but i didn't think it was necessary to get into it at the time. they're some kind of powerful polarized lenses that normal people can't see much of anything through, but with Scout's vision they're perfect. once Scout is stuck in her blue super-form, finding a way to see in the daytime would be a top priority, and being a straight-A student who probably knows about this stuff, she'd make a bee-line to the nearest laser lab and root around in their dumpsters or something.

panel 2 is Scout going to the bathroom. her superhero hideout doesn't have much in the way of amenities, so she's gotta do what she's gotta do.

i didn't want to show Scout doing any vigilante stuff in these montage pages, i thought that once she's a superhero full-time that there'd have to be a lot of sitting around, she'd be out in the city searching for people to help but not always finding any (not that there isn't plenty of crime going on but in a huge place like Dranac it can be tough to zero in on), so she'd do a lot of moping and finding food.
