all the garbage and bones make for kind of confusing, flat backgrounds now that i look back on this.
i tried to figure out the logistics of Sparkle being in this hole for about a week. i figured the obvious question would be "why doesn't she just climb out?" and i sort of addressed that in an earlier page of her in the hole where i tried to suggest that she does try to climb out but the walls of the hole are too slippery and messy, it's like trying to climb up a wall of mud where chunks come out when you grab it and the surface tumbles down on you and comes apart. but the bigger obstacle is the nameless mummy girl is keeping Sparkle there, she'd be up top waiting if Sparkle ever did manage to climb out.
the other question is how would Sparkle survive in the hole eating whatever food is around or gross garbage water (edit: or showing the mummy girl bringing her food, which is actually a scene i cut out, although i bet the mummy girl's idea of food isn't much better than what's in the hole, heh. can't remember why i didn't include that scene, maybe to keep the tension of not seeing if Sparkle was okay). i think sometimes i get bogged down in thinking about all the little things so i decided to make myself forget it and just went with not showing what happens in the hole or detailing it at all.
edit: and as Artemis pointed out in the comments, another question is how did Sparkle's buzz not grow out? haha. WHOOPS.
