Does the story take place in the future or on another planet?
the story is on Earth but it's a parallel universe/alternate Earth. it's not meant to be the future or at least our future, it's actually supposed to be vaguely in the past.

Is Pony Master a real game? How do you play it?
it's not a real game but i hope to create it someday somehow!

Does Sparkle only have 3 fingers on her right hand? Why?
she has ectrodactyly and was born without an index or middle finger, and also the three middle toes on her right foot.

Is Kyisha transgender or transsexual?
neither, she's intersex. intersex isn't trans and vice versa but they aren't mutually exclusive, and some intersex people transition depending on their gender assignment. Kyisha identifies as female and doesn't consider herself trans. i won't answer any questions about her body/anatomy, sorry!

How does Scout get her powers? What does getting hit with a brick have to do with it?
i can't say! the mystery of Scout's powers, her not knowing what she is or where her powers come from, is a core thing for her as a character.

Is the mummy girl a zombie? What's her deal? Does she have a name?
this was deliberately ambiguous, but i'll just come out and say she isn't a zombie, at least not in the way zombies are undead. she's survived some kind of terrible physical and emotional trauma and was left for dead. she will have a name but not until later in the story.

Why do Scout's legs keep getting bigger?
Scout's physique changes slowly through the course of the story, as she moves further and further away from her human form, she gets stronger and bigger and more muscular, and her legs are a part of this. her legs' growth is leading up to something in volume 3.

What's with Kyisha and peanuts?
peanut allergy!

How many books is Shadoweyes going to be?
i'm planning on four but volume 3 is pretty sprawling and dense so it might end up getting split into 2 books, making the total five books. right now there's Shadoweyes and Shadoweyes In Love, and the upcoming volume 3 is Shadoweyes Unmasked.

What are Scout's powers?
she's all around generally super: superhuman/heightened strength (her exact limits are unknown and she steadily grows stronger, but she can't lift a car or anything... yet!) and her super-strong legs let her perform incredible leaps, super healing, super-sensitive eyes that give her extreme night vision (making bright light blinding to her, dim levels of room light are tolerable but uncomfortable) as well as hawk-like vision, heightened hearing (see below), natural weapons like claws and teeth, spike-tipped prehensile tail, prehensile feet, and she can cling to walls/ceilings. other than her sensitivity to light, her main disadvantage is that she has no sense of smell; this affects her sense of taste, too, but her super-tasting shadowtongue makes up for it somewhat!

Does Scout have ears?
yes, but they're inside her head, she hears via fatty tissue in her head that channels sound to her inner ears.
